Turner name top blueliner, other Panthers receive academic honors

Panther hockey fans have known all season that defenseman Will Turner has an impact every time he is on the ice.  Now the league has taken note, naming #8 the Top Defenseman in the Varsity Silver division.  Shouts of "Wiiiiillll" could be heard from the crowd for many of the games this past season as the blueliner developed a loyal set of fans that many times sported an oversized cutout of his head.  "Will is an unbelievable person which translates to his on-ice play through his work ethic and desire to outperform his opponents," said head coach Corey Clarks.

For being named the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League's Varsity Silver Top Defenseman, Will received 2 tickets to the April 4th Dallas Stars game, where he will be presented with a plaque during the game, as well as recognition on the league website.  Congratulations Will!

The league also named three Panthers to receive All Academic Honors for their performance in the classroom.  These players will receive a plaque from the league and recognition on the league website:

John Henry Lightfoot
Steven Ritchey
Jacob Young

Great work Panthers!
